Nature Bingo! for Kids Printable

One of our favorite things to do on a Saturday morning is to go walking along our local nature path. We love finding random beetles, spying birds and smelling the flowers. (Yes, we actually slow down to smell the flowers!)

There’s something centering about being out in nature! It doesn’t have to be a mountain hike. Taking your kids on even a walk around the block can be a fun nature hunt. Grab your Nature Bingo Printable down below!

Nature Bingo! Printable Game

Nature Bingo! doesn’t have to be a formal affair. You don’t have to drive to a nature preserve. (Although that would be awesome!). You can simply go in your backyard if you have young ones and see how many of the items you can find.

When we go on our nature walks, we love walking down to our local Rock Beach and do some exploring there. But along the way, we walk through prairie as well as forest. It’s quite the ecosystems!

The point of Nature Bingo! is to slow down and take the time to take in your surroundings. How often are we outside and in a rush? Instead, take a deep breath and just enjoy.

How to play Nature Bingo!

Depending on the age of your kiddos, you can play Nature Bingo! three ways.

  1. Mark with an X every time you spy something on the chart. The first to get 5 in a row wins!
  2. Have the kiddos mark with an X every time they see something on the chart. The child with the most Xs wins.
  3. If you have really young kids, work as a team! Just have fun spying as many items as you can and mark them. There are no winners, no losers. Just fun!

  1. Love your post! And Rock beach looks like such a fun place to explore. I pinned that one too. Hopefully next summer we’ll be able to spend some time up North and that will be on my list. Thank you so much for joining the blog series.
